My hope with these pretty little baubles is to raise my voice for the reality of depression, suicide, self-injury and addiction. I think depressions best friend is silence and I want to do all that I can to break that. By sharing my story I hope others will feel confident that they are not alone and that they too will find the freedom I have found. With every sale, a portion goes directly into programs that are set up to help people struggling with these issues. There is hope for the hopeless and healing for the broken.
All of my pieces have a past. Just like each of us, they have a story. Whether it's a necklace made with a repurposed ceiling fan pull chain, earrings made with pieces from an old piece of jewelry found at a flea market, or a ring made from glass that has been tumbling around in the dirt or the ocean-- every piece has its story. I may not know the origin of each component making up a piece, but I'm happy to give it a new life, a new look, and a new purpose. That is exactly what Christ wants to do for you.
No matter what you've been a part of, where you've been, or what you've been through, there is a God who loves you and who knew you before He even created you.
This is but a whisper of something loud. A glimpse at a major issue that needs real love and focus. Is it a tall order for a small jewelry maker? Maybe. Is it possible for you and I to partner together and get involved and help those struggling? Absolutely.
